People often wonder if their is a secret to getting the best out of players ..... in my experience the most powerful tool in a coaches locker is the ability to instill confidence in players using nothing more than the Power of Positive Coaching ........ tell someone that they are bad at something enough .... they will soon begin to believe it ...... conversely ...... tell a player how good you think that they are or have the potential to be & the results can be quite extraordinary ........ be honest in your assessments of a situation though ..... you don't want players knowing that you never say anything in a constructive criticism kind of way .... they are no fools & can see through false praise ..... but once players give 100% you can ask no more .... so adapt fairness & consistency in your communication to them & you will never go far wrong ...........
